Erté's butterfly
Constance Bennett’s painted headboard from Erté’s incredible mind. 1940’s satin blouse with a three quarter bell zipper and billowy sleeves. Thin cobalty/purple satin that could have been a jockey’s blouse.
21 inches full length from shoulder
24 inch sleeve length from shoulder to wrist
7 1/2 inches wrist
24 inch pit to pit
5 inch 3/4 zipper
30 to 44 inch waist
9 inches pit to shoulder and 18 inches all the way around
16 1/2 inch shoulder span
There is some wear to the satin in the back and I’ve mended a big hole in the sleeve wtih fabric from the inside zipper panel. Has an elastic waist, and two snaps at each wrist.
All sales are final. These items are hand embroidered and usually made on vintage pieces or vintage material. One for one, made in Los Angeles.
